However, hopefully it’s quite easy. When you’re about an hour away coming from either North or South you will take a well-signed turn off and go through the village of Salen. You stay on that road, not turning off. You will come to the village of Kilchoan which is around 15 minutes away. Continue through Kilchoan, past the hotel on the left and then after a few hundred metres you will come to an obvious turn-off to the right signed Portuairk, Sanna and Lighthouse. Continue on that road for about 15 minutes, not turning off, and you will arrive at Portuairk village driving down a steep winding hill to the beach. Fork right at the foot of the hill and pass 2 x roadside houses and then on your right will be the well-signed Portuairk Pods, the second gate.

Go in the gate and up the track. There is a parking area 20 metres before the first pod, Sona. If you are staying in Sona, on arrival feel free to park outside the pod and unload. Ideally park your car back in the parking area but if you want to you, can park beside the pod but please be mindful that there may be guests in Sunndach pod further up the track so please leave plenty room for them to pass.

If you are staying in Sunndach pod, continue 50 metres past Sona pod and you can park beside Sunndach pod.
